The kit is targeted for children ages 2 to 5. Younger children will need to be supervised as many of the accessories have small parts. Parents or guardians of young children may find that doing the activities with the child is helpful. For that purpose, companion accessory-only kits are sold separately.

No, the book cannot be purchased separately. The Music and Movement in a Box experience is most effective when the activity kit is purchased as a whole.
